SCAD-Savannah - B.F.A., M.A. and M.F.A. in furniture design
At SCAD, students in the furniture design department hone their skills as designers by mastering the fundamentals and learning the design processes through which products are conceived, developed, fabricated and marketed. Student designs are tested for style, comfort, utility and durability through the creation of computer renderings, scale models or prototypes.
The program fosters intelligent designers who understand modern manufacturing technology, and create stylish, functional furniture that can be easily produced, marketed and sold.
