01/06/2009 Kamilah Powell (M.F.A., graphic design, 2008) is a Web designer at South Magazine, Savannah, Ga. 01/06/2009 Wathanyoo Rattanangsu (M.F.A., graphic design, 2006) was hired by Frog Design, New York, N.Y., an award-winning global innovation firm. 01/06/2009 Alumna Jill Phongsa (B.F.A., graphic design, 2006) is a graphic designer at Armstrong Atlantic State University, Savannah, Ga. 01/06/2009 Alumnus Meagan Bennett (B.F.A., graphic design, 2006) is graphic designer at Penguin Books, New York, N.Y. 01/06/2009 Graduate graphic design student Yuan Yao is the winner of the Sustainable Fellwood Logo Design Competition. Sustainable Fellwood is a LEED-certified neighborhood development project in Savannah that will provide affordable housing, senior housing, an organic garden and other environmentally beneficial attributes. Second-place winner Karina Nersesova and honorable mention Jiuxue Zhang are also graduate graphic design students. 01/06/2009 Graduate graphic design student Alison Johnson developed a branding strategy and branding architecture for the Chatham Environmental Forum, a group comprised of regional industry leaders, government officials and environmental leaders. The campaign was presented to the forum in December 2008. The campaign will be used throughout the county to encourage citizens in helping Chatham County become the "Greenest County in Georgia." 01/06/2009 Two designs by graduate graphic design student Alison Johnson are featured in the Winners gallery of the Flux '08 Student Design Competition, sponsored by AIGA. "Nuclear Bets" is a poster design and "Athena" is a package design. 01/06/2009 A series of lead poison awareness posters created in graphic design professor Scott Boylston's Winter 2008 Poster Design class were displayed at the 2008 National Healthy Homes Conference Sept. 15-17, in Baltimore, Md. The posters were also displayed at the Lead Awareness Carnival Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, for the Head Start Program in Savannah, Ga. More than 900 children attended. 01/06/2009 Undergraduate visual communication student Molly Bond accepted a graphic designer/photography internship at Austin Music and Entertainment magazine, Austin, Texas. 01/06/2009 Undergraduate advertising design student Andrew Milauckas accepted an internship at Lloyd + Co., an advertising agency serving the fashion industry.
